We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Collections Specialist needed to perform a variety of duties: initial and follow up collection calls, track and follow up on assignment of rent payments, track real estate taxes for REO properties, send customer correspondences, and meet with customers to determine means of payments.
The qualified candidate(s) will possess a minimum of 3 yrs experience in mortgage collections and/or risk management departments, working knowledge of the Fair Dept Credit Collection Practice Act and mortgage insurance, strong attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Current knowledge of MD/VA/ DE bankruptcy laws helpful. Hours of the position are generally M-F, 9-5 during peak periods of the month, additional hours may be necessary.
